Instructors

Faculty working to best support writing development in their classes can attend various workshops run by the writing center administrators and staff. Past workshops include those centered on working with multilingual writers, best practices for peer reviewing, writing process support, AI ethics in writing, and more. All incoming W-instructors should attend the W-orientation, geared towards best supporting student writers and ensuring W-classes are meeting the university guidelines. The next W-orientation will be held Thursday, August 25.

Tutor Talks

We like to put more than brochures and a website in front of students when we invite them to the Writing Center, and so we have designed a 5-minute in-class presentation that describes what we do. At your request, one of our Writing Associates is ready to visit your class, introduce the Writing Center and encourage your students to bring their drafts, ideas and questions to a session. Faculty can arrange a Tutor Talk by using our online form below.
